Domaine Evremond Classic Cuvée Brut Edition 1 NV – the highly anticipated inaugural release from the groundbreaking collaboration between Champagne Taittinger and UK partners Hatch Mansfield. This exceptional English sparkling wine is crafted on chalky Kentish terroir at Chilham, with south-facing slopes and free-draining soils mirroring the best of Champagne. Named after Charles de Saint-Évremond, the 17th-century champion of Champagne wines in England, the estate spans 69 hectares planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier.
The Classic Cuvée Edition 1 blends 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, and 10% Meunier, with a 2020 base vintage and 25% reserve wines from 2018–2019. Fermented and matured in stainless steel with full malolactic fermentation for freshness and elegance, it spent over 3 years on lees before disgorgement in August 2024 at a low 7 g/L dosage.
Bright and precise, it opens with lively citric notes of lemon and green apple, evolving to lemony Viennoiserie, ozone freshness, and fine creamy mousse.
