Domaines Ott Cuvée Étoile 2021 in magnum — white peach, red berries and a saline edge. The house’s signature rosé, doubled.
Domaines Ott was founded in 1912 by Marcel Ott and has become one of the defining names of Provence rosé, its estates spread across the region’s best sites near the Côte d’Azur. Cuvée Étoile is a selection drawn from those finest vineyards, blending Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, vinified in stainless steel.
The style is bright and honest rather than showy: an explosion of fruit — white peach, grapefruit, red berries — with just enough textural complexity from subtle ageing to give it substance. Crisp acidity, a touch of salinity, and a long, perfectly balanced finish. In magnum it is a wine for a table of people on a warm evening, not a single glass.
Serve with: fresh seafood, light salads, grilled vegetables or Mediterranean cooking.
