Barons de Rothschild Rare Collection Blanc de Blancs 2012 — an ultra-premium, limited-production Grand Cru Chardonnay of profound maturity.
Champagne Barons de Rothschild was founded in 2003 to showcase elite Côte des Blancs terroir. This rare cuvée — just 18,500 bottles — is sourced solely from Grand Cru Chardonnay in Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger, aged 8 years on the lees and disgorged in 2021 at an extra-brut 4 g/L.
A challenging but triumphant 2012 — spring frost reduced yields before a warm late summer delivered concentrated, mature fruit. Eight years on the lees give profound depth, while the low dosage keeps it vertical and fresh.
