The gold briefcase Au built for the people it sends bottles to — a Black Grape 70cl and a cocktail shaker set, cased and ready to hand over.
Au is the chemical symbol for gold, and the brand has never been shy about it. This briefcase is the clearest expression of that: a hard gold case made as a limited edition for the celebrities and influencers Au sends its bottles to, now released more widely. Inside sits a 70cl bottle of Black Grape — the sweetest and most recognisable of the range — alongside a full cocktail shaker set. It is a gift that does not need wrapping, explaining or improving.
The limited-edition Au case, 1 ×.
70cl bottle at 35.2% ABV, 1 ×.
Au-branded shaker set, 1 ×.
The case is the presentation — no wrapping needed.
Black Grape is the flavour that made Au's name. Sweet, juicy and unmistakably grape on the nose, soft through the middle with very little of the alcohol heat you would expect at 35.2%, and a clean finish rather than a syrupy one. It is built for long drinks — over ice with lemonade or soda — and it is forgiving enough that anyone can make something good with it, which is rather the point of pairing it with a shaker set.
