Questions
Why is it called "One Source"?
All the wheat and water used to make Absolut comes from the Åhus area of southern Sweden, and every step from growing the grain to bottling happens in one place — the company's own term for this is "One Source."
What makes continuous distillation different?
Founder Lars Olsson Smith introduced it to Sweden in 1879, distilling the spirit far more times than the standard three or four pot-still passes used elsewhere at the time, for a purer, more consistent result.
Why is there a man's portrait on the bottle?
That's Lars Olsson Smith himself, nicknamed "the Vodka King" in Sweden — his medallion has appeared on every bottle since the brand's earliest days.
