First released to mark two centuries of Lagavulin, the 8 Year Old has since earned its place in the permanent range. Younger and wilder than the 16, it leads with raw peat smoke, cracked black pepper and a fierce coastal energy that the older expressions have long since tamed. Nose: Bonfire ash, green apple, tar and brine.

Palate: Fierce and spicy with dense smoke, oak char and sea salt.

Finish: Dry, peppery and long.
