S Cathiard & Fils Hautes Côtes de Nuits Aux Chaumes 2022 75cl is an outstanding Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of the most exciting estates in the region. Sébastien Cathiard has elevated the family domaine to new heights since taking over in 2011, farming 12.5 hectares biodynamically and ageing the wines over two winters in barrel for added complexity and finesse.
The Aux Chaumes vineyard, with its shallow clay soils over a hard limestone base, delivers freshness and minerality. The 2022 vintage is rich yet lively, displaying attractive aromas of red fruits, subtle spice, and floral notes. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced with vibrant red berry fruit, excellent minerality, refined tannins, and a long, elegant finish.
A refined and characterful Hautes Côtes de Nuits that punches well above its classification. Best enjoyed from 2026 to 2035.
