Nikka Taketsuru Pure Malt — a refined marriage of Yoichi and Miyagikyo single malts, named for Nikka's founder.
Named after Masataka Taketsuru — the man who brought Scotch whisky knowledge back to Japan and built Nikka from nothing — this is a marriage of single malts from his two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, blended to express what he believed Japanese whisky should taste like. Balanced, refined and deeply considered, it carries the weight of its name.
Smooth and rounded, with dark fruit and subtle smoke over oak and gentle spice — an elegantly balanced malt that rewards slow sipping.
