Nyetimber 1086 Rosé 2010 Magnum (150cl) is an ultra-rare, prestige cuvée English sparkling rosé from Nyetimber, one of England’s most celebrated producers since their first vines in 1988. Named after the estate’s first recorded mention in the Domesday Book of 1086 (as “Nitimbreha”), this limited-release homage to a millennium of history is crafted exclusively from estate-grown grapes in West Sussex. The 2010 vintage blend is 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, with meticulous hand-selection of the finest parcels for rosé production. After traditional method bottle fermentation and an extended 5 years on lees (disgorged June 2016) at 8 g/l dosage using Mytik Diam technical corks, it delivers exceptional finesse. The 2010 season featured a drier winter, excellent flowering in hot/dry conditions, cooler August rains, and bright September ripening—yielding delicate, fine flavours. Pale pink in hue with a silky, elegant palate, it offers vibrant red fruits (strawberry, raspberry), floral notes, creamy texture, great tension between fruit and structure, and a long, persistent finish. With only 850 magnums produced, this is a collector’s gem—superb now through 2038+, perfect for special celebrations, seafood, poultry, or contemplative sipping.
