Malbec, Argentina's star

Regions to know

• Mendoza: the heart of Argentinian wine, producing most of the country's bottles. Made in Mendoza Malbec is an easy, crowd-pleasing choice.
• Uco Valley: Mendoza's highest and coolest vineyards, making more elegant, structured wines. Altos Las Hormigas' Altamira Malbec, Clos de los Siete (a project led by the famous Bordeaux winemaker Michel Rolland) and Flechas de los Andes all come from here.
