Sassicaia Tenuta San Guido 2018 — the Bordeaux-style icon that put Bolgheri on the world map.
Conceived in the 1940s by Mario Incisa della Rocchetta to make a Bordeaux-style wine on the Tuscan coast, Sassicaia is a benchmark Super Tuscan. The 2018 is aged 24 months in French oak followed by six months in bottle — both approachable and built to age.
Full-bodied and velvety, with ripe dark fruit, elegant tannins and a subtle mineral thread. Layers of dark chocolate and tobacco add depth to a wine of real poise and length.
