Hennessy Paradis is a blend of 100 hand-selected eaux-de-vie, slowly matured in oak. That number is the point: each component is chosen individually, and the assembly is the work of the cellar master rather than a formula. The half-bottle format offers the same blend in a more intimate measure.
What emerges is silky and deeply layered, with a restraint that separates it from showier cognacs. Honey, truffle and dried rose petal give way to a long finish touched with cinnamon and cardamom. Made in France, at 40% ABV.
Serve with: nothing at all. Neat, in a tulip glass, at room temperature — the aromatics need warmth and air to open.

The clear distilled spirit before ageing. A cognac blend draws on many of them, of different ages and from different crus, and the blender’s art is in the assembly.
