La Chapelle is the second wine of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, one of the most storied names in all of Bordeaux, whose Pessac-Léognan vineyards have been producing acclaimed wine for centuries. The 2020 is Merlot-dominant (50.1%) with Cabernet Sauvignon (45.5%) and a touch of Cabernet Franc (4.4%), aged in oak barrels. Deep ruby in the glass, it layers ripe blackberry and cherry with cedar, spice and the subtle earthy-smoky accent that marks this corner of Pessac-Léognan, finished with velvety tannins.
