Shake 50ml vodka, 25ml Passoã, the pulp of half a passion fruit, 15ml lime juice and a little sugar syrup with plenty of ice. Strain into a coupe, float the other half of the passion fruit on top, and pour a small glass of fizz to drink alongside.
What does it taste like on its own?
Straightforwardly of passion fruit — tart and tropical with mango behind it and a faint coconut note — and sweet without being syrupy. At 17% it is closer to a fruit wine in weight than to a spirit.
Is it the same as a Passion Star Martini?
Yes. It is the same drink under a politer name — a great many British venues list it as a Passion Star or Porn Star Martini interchangeably. The recipe does not change.
