Château Latour Grand Cru Classé Pauillac 2016 75cl is the legendary First Growth masterpiece from one of Bordeaux’s most iconic estates, sourced almost exclusively from the historic L’Enclos vineyard. The 2016 vintage is an exceptional blend of 92.9% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7.1% Merlot, aged for 18–20 months in 100% new French oak barrels, resulting in a wine of extraordinary depth, power, and refinement. Deep garnet in colour, it opens with a regal, captivating bouquet of blackberry, graphite, crushed rose petals, liquorice, and subtle cedar. The palate is medium-bodied yet profoundly structured, with ultrafine, perfectly integrated tannins, bewitching symmetry, vibrant black fruit, floral elegance, mineral precision, and incredible length. Neal Martin awarded it a perfect 100 points, calling it “magnificent” and comparable to the legendary 1982 and 2010 vintages. Drink 2025–2060+ for peak complexity.
