Rock Angel sits a step up from the everyday Provence rosé in Château d’Esclans’s range, and the difference is in the winemaking rather than the marketing. It blends Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle (Vermentino), and a portion of the wine is fermented in large oak barrels instead of stainless steel.
That partial barrel fermentation is what gives Rock Angel its signature: delicate red berry aromas and mineral notes are joined by subtle spice and a smooth, almost creamy texture across the palate. It is built for the table rather than the ice bucket alone — a rosé with enough weight to sit beside real food.
Serve with: seafood, grilled fish, and Mediterranean dishes.
