Truffle is not a gin botanical. That is precisely the point of this one: a small-batch artisanal gin from Cambridge, distilled in small copper pot stills, that takes a classic base — juniper, coriander, angelica root, citrus peels and orris — and then infuses it with black truffle.
The truffle brings an earthy, umami depth that simply does not exist elsewhere in the category. At 42% ABV the spirit stays smooth and coherent rather than becoming a gimmick: the juniper structure holds, and the truffle sits underneath it as savoury weight. If you have a dirty Martini drinker in your life, this is the bottle for them.
Serve with: a Martini — ideally dirty — or a G&T with a twist. Neat over ice if you want the truffle undiluted.
