The distillery sits in the town of Indri, in northern India near the foothills of the Himalayas, drawing on Yamuna river water.

Is Indian whisky actually good?
This one scored 99.1 out of 100 and took Best World Whisky at the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards. Indian single malt has moved from curiosity to serious contender in under a decade, and Indri is the bottle most often used to make that point.
Why does tropical maturation matter?
Heat accelerates everything. Indian warehouses lose a far greater share to evaporation each year than Scottish ones, which means the spirit takes on cask character much faster. A young Indian malt can carry the depth of a much older Scotch.
What is a Marsala cask finish?
Marsala is a fortified wine from Sicily. Finishing whisky in those casks layers stewed apricot, cherry and nutty sweetness over the spirit — a rarer choice than sherry or port, and the reason this release tastes distinctive.
