Pol Roger has been in the same family since Pol Roger himself founded the house in Épernay in 1849, and it remains one of the last of the grandes marques still owned by its founding line. Réserve — the white-foil bottle — is the house style distilled: roughly equal parts Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier drawn from more than thirty crus, then left to rest for around four years in cellars cut deep into the chalk beneath Épernay. Those cellars are among the coldest in Champagne, and the slow, cold second fermentation is what gives the wine its famously fine bead.
Beside it sits a box from Pierre Marcolini, who opened in Brussels in 1995 and does something few chocolatiers bother with: he buys cocoa beans at origin and roasts and refines them himself, rather than starting from someone else's couverture. The eighteen truffles in this box are the result — a thin shell over a ganache that tastes of cocoa rather than sugar.
It arrives in our black-and-gold presentation box on shredded tissue, hand-tied with ribbon, and carrying your message on a card.

Questions
What is Pol Roger Réserve?
The house's non-vintage Brut, known as the white foil. It blends Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in roughly equal measure from more than thirty crus, and rests about four years on its lees in the chalk cellars beneath Épernay.
Is the champagne a full-size bottle?
Yes — a full 75cl bottle in its own gift carton, exactly as we sell it on its own, not a half or a quarter.
What makes Marcolini different?
He works bean-to-bar: cocoa is bought at origin and roasted and refined in his own workshop rather than bought in as finished couverture. It is why the ganache tastes of cocoa first and sugar second.
Can I send it straight to someone else?
Yes. Enter their address at checkout and add your message — we deliver it boxed and ribboned, with no paperwork or pricing inside.
How should the chocolates be stored?
Somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight, and not in the fridge. Truffles are best enjoyed soon after they arrive.
