Château Certan de May sits in the heart of Pomerol, a historic estate with roots in the eighteenth century, on a plateau shared with some of the most sought-after names in Bordeaux. Pomerol has no formal classification — its reputation rests entirely on the wines, and Certan de May’s has been strong for generations.
The 2019 blends Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in oak barrels. Full-bodied even in half-bottle format: concentrated red and black fruit, cedar spice and fine-grained tannin, with hints of tobacco, black pepper and the subtle earthiness of the Pomerol terroir running to a long, mineral-tinged finish.
