Prestige Cuvée Champagne · Vintage 2015
The champagne created for a Tsar, in its unmistakable clear crystal bottle.
Cristal was created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia, who asked for a clear, flat-bottomed bottle. It remains Louis Roederer's prestige cuvée — a vintage blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the house's finest grand cru plots, precise, mineral and built to age gracefully.

Questions
Why is Cristal in a clear bottle?
Tsar Alexander II requested a clear, flat-bottomed bottle so his champagne could be told apart and could not conceal anything. The distinctive clear crystal bottle has been Cristal's signature ever since.
How should I serve it?
Chilled to around 10–12°C in a fine tulip glass, and sipped slowly — a prestige cuvée like this rewards a little patience as it opens.
