Whispering Angel in magnum — the rosé that defined a category, in the format built for sharing.
Whispering Angel is the wine that made pale Provence rosé a category rather than a curiosity, and Château d’Esclans has never had to work hard to justify its reputation. The blend runs Grenache, Rolle, Cinsault, Syrah and Tibouren, and the result is a luminous pale pink of genuine finesse.
On the palate it is delicate and properly dry: fresh red berries, white peach and a touch of citrus over a crisp, mineral finish. It is effortlessly elegant and endlessly drinkable — as at home at a summer lunch as at a wedding table. This is the 1.5-litre magnum, which is to say the format it was always meant for. 13% ABV.
Serve with: a summer lunch, seafood, salads, or a long evening with friends. Serve well chilled, 8–10°C.

No. Whispering Angel is properly dry; the red berry and peach character comes from the fruit rather than residual sugar.
