Cotswolds Founder's Choice Single Malt Whisky 70cl is a powerful, cask-strength expression from the Cotswolds Distillery, personally selected by founder Dan Szor as his favourite cask type. This single malt is matured exclusively in STR (Shaved, Toasted, and Re-charred) ex-red wine barriques, which impart intense richness, deep fruit character, and bold oak influence. Crafted from 100% Cotswolds-grown malted barley and distilled in small copper pot stills, it delivers a full-bodied, opulent profile with a deep amber-mahogany colour. The nose bursts with ripe red berries, blackcurrant jam, dark plum, vanilla pod, toasted oak, and a touch of spice. On the palate, it is rich and intense with layers of stewed red fruits, black cherry, raspberry compote, dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove, caramelised toffee, and robust charred oak.
