The First Blended Rosé
🏆Veuve Clicquot pioneered blended rosé champagne in 1818🏆Made by blending in still Pinot Noir red wine
In 1818 Madame Clicquot created the first known blended rosé champagne, adding still red wine rather than simply tinting the blend. The technique she invented is still how the finest rosé champagnes are made today.

Questions
How is rosé champagne made?
The finest rosé champagnes, including this one, are made by blending in a little still red wine — a method Veuve Clicquot pioneered in 1818 — giving both the colour and the red-fruit character.
How should I serve it?
Chilled to around 8–10°C in a tulip glass or flute. It is lovely as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with charcuterie, salmon and berries.
