Domaines Ott is one of the great names of Provence rosé, and Clos Mireille is its seaside jewel — a vineyard acquired by Marcel Ott in the 1930s that sits right by the Mediterranean, the vines soaking up Provençal sun and salt air. That coastal position gives the wine a subtle saline touch you will not find in inland rosés.
The 2022 blends Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, vinified in stainless steel to keep everything bright and precise. Pale salmon in colour, light to medium-bodied, bone-dry: juicy peach and wild raspberry over a mineral core, with a crisp, clean finish. This is rosé as Provence intends it — elegant, not sweet.
Serve with: grilled prawns, oysters, seafood salad, Niçoise salad, ratatouille, or fresh goat’s cheese.
