🏆Made from Espadín agave in small batches🏆Roasted in clay ovens, crushed by stone millstone
Ilegal takes its name from the days it was smuggled into the Café No Sé bar in Antigua, Guatemala. It is still made the traditional way — clay-oven roasting and stone-ground agave — for a balanced spirit with just a hint of smoke.

Questions
What is the difference between mezcal and tequila?
Both are agave spirits, but mezcal can be made from many agave varieties and is traditionally roasted in earthen or clay ovens, which gives its characteristic smoky note. Tequila uses only blue agave and is usually steamed.
How should I serve it?
Sip it neat and slowly to appreciate the smoke and agave, or use it to add a smoky depth to a Margarita, Paloma or Negroni.
