Joven Mezcal · 100% Espadín
George Clooney and Rande Gerber tasted a mezcal they loved years before they had the capacity to launch it — when they finally did, they went back to the same family who'd been making it for generations.

How It's Made
🏆Made with a Multi-Generational Mezcalero Family
🏆Traditional Earthen-Pit Roasting & Tahona Crushing
The agave is roasted in earthen pits lined with volcanic rock and wood fire, then crushed by a horse-drawn stone tahona before double-distillation in copper pot stills — traditional Oaxacan methods carried out by the family Casamigos partnered with from the start.

Questions
What does "Joven" mean?
It means "young" — this mezcal rests for up to two months rather than being aged in barrels, letting the smoky, earthy agave character come through without oak influence.
How is mezcal different from tequila?
While both come from agave, mezcal can be made from many agave varieties (this one uses 100% Espadín) and is traditionally roasted in earthen pits rather than industrial ovens, giving it a smokier character than most tequila.
Who makes it?
It's produced in partnership with a family of mezcaleros in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, who Casamigos' founders discovered years before they had the capacity to bring a mezcal to market.
