This single malt is made from 100% malted barley grown locally, distilled in small copper pot stills, and matured in carefully selected American oak barrels (ex-bourbon and possibly other types) to enhance its rich, characterful profile. The whisky pours a warm amber-gold, with an inviting nose of caramel, toffee, charred oak, dried red fruits (cherry, plum), toasted hazelnuts, and subtle vanilla and spice. On the palate, it delivers creamy caramel sweetness, deep oak char, stewed red berries, nutty praline, gentle cinnamon and clove, and a rounded, velvety texture. The finish is long and warming, with lingering charred oak, dark fruit, and a touch of gentle smoke and spice.
