Released annually as part of Diageo’s Special Releases, the Lagavulin 12 Year Old is bottled at cask strength without chill filtration or added colour. Each edition is drawn from a different selection of casks, meaning no two vintages are quite the same. What remains constant is the raw, uncompromising character of the distillery peat smoke at full power, with nothing softened and nothing removed.

Nose: Intense smoke, citrus peel, ash and coastal brine.

Palate: Bold and oily with concentrated peat, pepper and dark mineral notes.

Finish: Very long, dry and deeply smoky.
