    • Château Marquis d'Alesme Margaux Grand Cru Classé 2019 75cl is a distinguished Third Growth red Bordeaux from one of the oldest estates in the Margaux appellation, with vines dating back to 1616. This 16-hectare vineyard, classified among the fourteen Third Growths in 1855, is planted with 45% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Petit Verdot on classic Margaux gravelly soils. The 2019 vintage showcases meticulous craftsmanship under technical director Marjolaine de Coninck and owner Nathalie Perrodo, resulting in a wine of exceptional structure and finesse. Deep ruby in colour, it offers captivating aromas of crushed roses, blueberries, blackberries, fennel, pomegranate, and subtle spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with carefully constructed, fine-grained tannins, vibrant sapidity, juicy dark fruit, floral lift, and a real grip of freshness and balance, leading to a long, harmonious finish. Jane Anson awarded it 95 points, praising its “real grip, length and balance.” Drink 2025–2040+ for peak enjoyment. Pairs beautifully with poultry, red and game meats, or cheese. A classic, age-worthy Margaux of pedigree and charm.
