Viñedo Chadwick 2015 — cherry, cassis and cedar from Puente Alto, the vineyard that put Chilean Cabernet on the world stage.
Founded in 1994 by the Chadwick family, Viñedo Chadwick sits in Puente Alto, the sub-region of Chile’s Maipo Valley that produces the country’s most celebrated Cabernet Sauvignon. The approach combines sustainable viticulture with Bordeaux-inspired winemaking, and the wines have built a reputation for elegance and finesse rather than sheer weight.
The 2015 is pure Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in French oak barrels. It opens with vibrant red fruit — cherry, raspberry, plum — deepening into blackcurrant and cassis, then cedar, tobacco and spice as it breathes. Full-bodied and structured, but the tannins have polished and softened with time, giving a smooth, approachable texture and a long, persistent finish.
Serve with: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, venison, braised short ribs, rich mushroom sauces or aged cheeses.
