Altos Las Hormigas 'Appellation Altamira' Uco Valley Malbec 2020 — a pure, terroir-driven expression of Argentine Malbec.
Founded in the 1990s by a group of Italian friends devoted to Argentine terroir, Altos Las Hormigas farms sustainably in the high-altitude Uco Valley. The Altamira Malbec draws depth and freshness from the Andean foothills, aged 12 months in French oak.
Full-bodied, smooth and velvety, with balanced acidity and a complex, structured frame. Deep garnet, with ripe black fruit, violet and a hint of smokiness leading to a long, elegant finish.
