Where fashion, perfumery and craft distilling converge. Seventy One Gin created by renowned fashion photographer Mert Alas is a gin conceived like a fragrance, with each botanical distilled separately before being brought together in perfect balance. At its heart is the rare Queen of the Night cactus flower, which blooms only after dark and wilts by dawn, joined by rose petals, grapefruit peel and classic gin botanicals. The spirit then rests for 71 nights in oak casks, drawing out gentle vanilla notes and a quiet, rounded richness.
Completing the set are six black Ernesto taper candles from Maison Trudon, whose distinctive notes of leather and tobacco prove an unexpectedly natural companion to the gin’s aromatic character. On paper, an unusual pairing in practice, entirely harmonious. 70cl, 43%.
