Carruades de Lafite Pauillac 2021 75cl is the renowned second wine of legendary First Growth Château Lafite Rothschild, sourced from three main vineyard parcels across 112 hectares of well-drained gravel and sandy limestone soils in Pauillac. This 2021 vintage is a classic blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot, crafted during the estate’s first year of organic conversion with the same meticulous attention as the Grand Vin. Deep ruby in colour, it offers classic Pauillac aromas of pencil lead, slate, graphite, cassis bud, rose bud, and subtle tobacco leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with lovely depth, tension, subdued power, fine tannins, fresh acidity, and focused black fruit, leading to a long, precise finish.
